Select PeriPedal home folder

Postby joth » Tue Dec 02, 2014 7:17 pm

I'd like to root my peripedal files inside my "Google Drive" folder so that custom workouts and history is automatically backed up, and I can then very easily share my training partner's history folder with them online. (And gives my easy online access to those files).

There are various workarounds I've tried but hit snags with each, so having a way to configure the program just to put the files somewhere else would be very useful.

Couple related suggestions:
- including the workout name inside the .fit files stored in History would be super handy when browsing the files remotely / later.
- mention on the help page (http://www.peripedal.com/instructions/) or inside the history viewer / export menu that the .fit files are already stored in history (Took me surprising time to find then, and you can't search the forum for 'fit'. Mentioning TCX is not supported but FIT is would also aid searchability. )

For anyone else looking, I found a very workable alternative: http://www.goodsync.com/ is easy to setup to sync any arbitrary folder to another or straight to Google Drive. (I first tried the far more slimline DSynchronize program, but it didn't seem happy dealing with my NAS box share but GoodSync is working a charm).
Having the workout names inside the file names would be nice-to-have still.
