Question about mapping effort level to % FTP

Postby dannyst » Sat Dec 14, 2013 7:32 pm

If I were to make a workout to correspond with a video, what is the typical mapping of % FTP to effort level? For example if a video says to be at 9/10, what % FTP is that? What level on that 1-10 scale maps to being exactly 100% FTP? I am just curious. Not sure if I will make any workouts being that I don't even have any workouts yet, but I have been wondering about that.

Try this link Dannyst: http://viewsoftheroad.com/sufferfest-on ... /#more-356
There is a spreadsheet to download that converts your FTP/RPE relevant for Sufferfest videos.
Ultimately: Rule of Thumb - not set in concrete when discussing RPE vs FTP

That is a good link too, thanks AA. On that point, if it is Sufferfest videos that you are interested in I am updating PeriPedal's collection of those and will have all of them (with the exception of Rubber Glove) in the next release.
